Your cashmere is something you should really take care of. Whether you’ve spent a little, or a lot, we will advise you on how to preserve it’s quality and prevent any pesky moths from ruining it.
When it’s time to wash your cashmere, make sure you do so on a, cold wash on the hand wash cycle. Or, hand wash it using a natural, delicate detergent. We sell a lovely laundry liquid which is completely natural and made using aloe vera and rosemary oil. It is free from parabens, phosphates, bleach, artificial colours and fragrances.
If your washing machine does not have the hand wash setting, then make sure your cashmere is buttoned up when hand washing it. Our laundry liquid can also be used for hand washing. Our bottle lasts up to 22 washes and is extremely soft and gentle on skin.
As you may know, moths love to feast on your beautiful cashmere. They have good taste! They will always go for your most expensive items, which we know is such a pain.
Make sure your cashmere is 100% dry before putting it back in your wardrobe because moths love the moisture within the fibres. We sell a brilliant knitwear storage bag which stores up to 10 folded tops/fine knits or 2/3 chunky knits. It is breathable and has a clear middle, allowing you to see what is in the bag. Using this will preserve the quality of your clothes, as well as ensuring that no moths can come into contact with your items.
If you would prefer to hang your cashmere instead of storing in our bags, we have a range of hangers to keep the shape of your clothes. We stock rubber hangers, rubber hangers with clips, as well as velour hangers, allowing your clothes to never slip off the ends again. To further this, we sell handy little Chinese knots. These knots are elasticated and fit perfectly onto the end of your hanger, making sure your strappy tops never fall down again!
One fact about cashmere is that no matter how good the quality, sooner or later you will start to see bobbles. We have a cashmere/knitwear comb that prevents the bobbles from getting bigger, as you can easily comb them out. Just hold the fabric taut and brush quickly and lightly with comb.
